Pharmacy technician learning objectives include correctly interpreting and processing prescriptions, accurately dispensing medications, performing dosage calculations, managing inventory, and processing payments and insurance. Technicians must also adhere to legal and ethical standards, demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, and maintain patient confidentiality. Advanced objectives may include sterile compounding and using technology to manage medication therapy. Upon meeting all requirements for graduation, students must maintain a 85% average to pass the class. Then they will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Class Time: Monday and Wednesday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm x 12 weeks = 96 hours
Clinical: Monday –Thursday 8:00 am - 12 noon x 2 weeks= 32 hours
Total Program= 128 Hour
New classes will be posted on the website and listed during time of registration. Interested candidates may call at any time for class dates. Class dates are subject to change and students will be notified via phone regarding changes.
A minimum of 2 students per class is required for the class to be offered.
