2 Classes for One (Medical Administrative Assistant/Phlebotomy)

Course Objectives
Medical Administrative Assistants perform various administrative tasks depending on the day-to-day demands of the office. This course will prepare students for the use of proper telephone etiquette, greet patients, schedule appointments, make referrals to the hospital and other offices, medical terminology, medical records management, and basic insurance billing and coding.
As the demand for phlebotomists grows, PTC will offer basic concepts of Phlebotomy. Phlebotomy concepts will range from human anatomy to phlebotomy clinical. Students will be taught how collection and preparation of the blood is done and the techniques to safely handle blood. Students will also learn all the medical tools that are involved with phlebotomy. Students will learn medical terminology, communication skills, lab safety procedures and experience time in an onsite clinical setting allowing them to have hands-on training taking blood draws under direct supervision.
Upon meeting all requirements for graduation, students will receive a certificate and be able to apply for national.
testing. A certificate of completion will not be granted unless fees are paid in its entirety. The Certificate of
Completion will include the name of the student and the student successfully completed the specific training program. It will have the name of the program along with the completion hours.
Our Medical Administrative Assistants program consists of 66 hours including didactic and lab simulation.
Medical Administrative Assistant schedule Day classes (will adjust schedule for Holidays):
Class Time: Day/Evening
Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm x 12 weeks and Thursday 11:30 am – 1:00 pm x 12 weeks.
Total Program = 66 Hours
Classes held on Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00pm-10:00pm x 12 weeks = (96 Hours)
Total Program= 96 Hours
New classes will be posted on the website and listed during time of registration. Interested candidates may call at any time for class dates. Class dates are subject to change and students will be notified via telephone regarding changes.
A minimum of 2 people per class is required for the class to be offered.

The Administrative Fee and the Registration Fee are “Non-Refundable.”
The price for the 2 for 1 is a $500.00 discount on the Phlebotomy class only, which will make the total price-$4110.50. This discount is only given if both classes are taken within 6 months of enrollment of starting the Phlebotomy class. Also 60% completion of the course is required to receive the discount. If not, no discount will be applied and therefore would be subject to the standard pro-rata refund table. A contract will be given that states such.
Payment Options:
All payments are due on the 1st of the month. After the 5th day of the month a late payment of $35 will be applied.
Half & Half Plan
This plan allows students to pay half of the total program cost in the amount of $2055.25. The remaining balance of $2055.25 will be due the first Monday of class.
Delay Your Pay Plan:
This plan allows students to have their name on our waiting list. The student can delay their class start date by paying $700.00 down and making 4 additional schedule payments of $852.63 until the total program cost is paid.
Reimbursement:
If a student is currently employed by a Medicaid-certified nursing facility in South Carolina, you are eligible for reimbursement of tuition after one (1) year of employment. A written offer of employment qualifies you for
reimbursement.
Sponsorships
Private funds from agencies are accepted. No financial aid is permitted. PTC is currently supported by SC Works
